Hello,
So I've been on HRT for about 5 years and I would like to get an orchiectomy done so I could stop taking cyproterone. No, I wouldn't consider switching to spironolactone.
I've been with many doctors in my life and I understand not all of them are trans-friendly, sometimes they treat us poorly with ignorance and prejudice.
So I was wondering if anyone knows surgeons who are trans-friendly or could perform an orchiectomy on a tg person. I live in São Paulo but I'd consider doctors from nearby states.
I really appreciate it
Thanks.

Eu acho que aqui vc não vai encontrar resposta para isso! I think here you can't find an answer also because in Brasil orchiectomy is not so an option for Tran women.
You could have a look at:
thetransitionalmale dot com/Surgeons.html
Please do your due diligence, ask for results etc.
And you might think about alternatives in other countries.
hugs
melbunny, you might try talking to someone in Facial Team's offices in São Paulo - perhaps they can refer you to someone?
Hi Melbunny!
I hope you're still reading this. In the Santa Cecilia, there is a CRT (centro de referência e treinamento) DST-AIDS, where every Friday at 19:00 there's a support group for trans people coordinated by a very competent psychologist. You can go there at least to be given some names or be told how you can go about it. The SUS covers our treatment, although I don't know about orchi in particular.
Hugs!
