Hi, I'm Caden. I was born assigned female but never acted the part. I rejected all girly clothes, toys, makeup, before I found out more about trans and non binary through tumblr. I hadn't even heard of non binary before then, and I really wish I'd found out more earlier in life.
Up until then I figured trans didn't apply to me because aside from my only representatives of trans being ill portrayed transwomen on csi, while I never felt like a girl, I didn't feel full guy either. Most days I wake up being neither male nor female. Some days I wake up feeling various degrees of male. But I never feel female.
Any ideas about which label best suits me? How do I describe myself? Am I genderqueer masculine, non binary, gender fluid, demi boy? So many labels seem to partly describe me, but I don't know if there's a perfect fit out there?

Aya, not sure I'm qualified to help you with a label, I guess the closest maybe non binary... But maybe others on the forums may be better versed...
Look forward to seeing you about the forums...

Hi Caden,
Welcome to Susan's! Really nice to have you with us here.
I would say don't worry too much about labels. Just allow yourself to be what feels right to you.
See you around

Welcome!
Nonbinary sounds like it would fit you. No one can tell you exactly what your gender is except yourself, but nonbinary is an umbrella term for anything other than male or female. I personally use agender and nonbinary interchangeably to describe myself, since agender falls under the nonbinary umbrella.
If you can't figure out exactly which label fits you, that's okay! It's fine to just say you're nonbinary without specifying further or to just not label yourself at all if that's what you're more comfortable with.
CSI made me hesitant to accept myself as trans, but what I saw on CSI was not even close to how most of us are. I'm non-binary myself. I've seen myself as about 70% female to 30% male. Until now I didn't have a proper word to describe me because non-binary, bi-gender, and genderqueer mean a lot of different things. I've never heard of the demi before, but I looked it up. I'm demigender/demigirl partially but not completely feminine. Even though I couldn't find the right label it hasn't stopped me from living my life correctly.
I hope things work out for you and wish you the best.
Thanks for the welcomes. Look forward to talking with you all. And thanks for the advice. This looks like it's going to be a really useful and cool place.
Hi Caden, welcome to Susan's. Only you can figure out where you are along the trans spectrum. Therapy can great help in sorting that out. I look forward to seeing you around the site. Good luck and Hugs
