Title: Night Sweats
Post by: Julian Jude on May 25, 2015, 09:46:46 AM
Has anyone had night sweats on testosterone? I've been getting bad night sweats and waking up damp and cold. I'm just wondering if it is normal.

I got pretty bad hot flashes and night sweats, especially when I went up to full dose. They calm down after a while but I still sometimes get mild flashes if the room is too hot.

I don't know if either of you have kept your ovaries, but if you did, the first thing that would come to mind would be a menapause issue brought on by the T lowering the estrogen. That is just a theory though, and its probably an answer you Dr. can give you over the phone. I never had any hot flashes, but everyone is different.

I have my ovaries. Interesting, I'll talk to my doctor about it.

I had random hot flashes the first two weeks on T. I've always had night sweats though. Haven't gone away. And I'm way sweatier now than I was pre-T.

As the others have said, hot flushes are common on T - especially when first starting out.

If your night sweats are accompanied by drastic weight loss (non-deliberate), please see your GP ASAP as it can be a sign of something more serious going on.

Thank you. There is no weight loss so far, well two pounds but it stabilized there. A lot of the other symptoms are evening out and this was the week before my cycle so maybe my body is just flooded with hormones.
