I just looked up a pre-operative thing and it says something about contacting the hospital. I was never given this sheet. I just found it by chance online. And I had no idea that the hospital would contact me about anything or any tests that had to be done beforehand. I also never got a list of prescriptions to get before surgery. Is this common? It does say on that paper that you can get these prescriptions before being discharged at the hospital. However, I don't want anything to happen. Again, my biggest anxiety is that something happens and I cannot get my surgery.
He has a pre op "checklist" online, he should have given you something for your endo (or another dr) to complete for surgical clearance about 5 days before surgery (blood work etc). The actual prescriptions you will get the day before at your pre op visit. The hospital calls the day before to confirm what time you're coming in, warn you that the waiting room is cold etc.
Dr garramone's staff/office are very helpful, call with any questions.
Just went through this last week, hope it helps and good luck! :)
