I decided to record my voice and was wondering how I sound.
This is the recording:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8tfZNqZtTE
I'm going to make time to practice, but I'd like to see how I sound already and find out what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong.
So, how is it? Is there any advice you can give me?
Thank you for your time.
I'm totally the wrong person to ask, since my ears are a bit tone deaf, but I did not hear much resonance, and I read you as female. Your voice sounded young.

I'm 18, so that's probably why.
But you thought it sounded female?
It sounds female to me.
You sound nervous... you might try to relax, and speak steady, not too fast or too slow..
intonation I'd say is good... going up and down, sounding naturally...
for more pointers you could have a look here:

*hugs*
It sounds female to me.
I honestly don't see how. It definitely doesn't sound male, but I don't see how it sounds female. Is there ANY other advice you can give me?
No matter what I do I always sound the same in the recordings.

Would you care to make another recording ? You might read a passage from a book... and use vocaroo dot com for recording, its quite easy to use.
The voice sounds feminine, but a bit forced (in my opinion). It may need some adjustment of prosody (pitch variation) and to sound a bit more relaxed.
Hey Equestriaghoul
Your voice sounds fine - it's a girl's voice.
Perhaps you are only just starting out on changing it, so give it time and be patient. It can take many months before it feels comfortable and doesn't exhaust you after just a couple of hours.
Regards
Julia
Thank you all.
I've been meaning to make another recording, but I've been a bit preoccupied.
