So, yes, it has finally arrived. Today we leave for Thailand! I am a bit freaked out lol....
Anyway, there probably isn't a whole lot that is left to be said about the Chet experience that hasn't been posted at this point, but I will talk about whatever is going on here. We are staying at the Rama cottages, so anyone else who will be there is free to PM me if you'd like to kill some time together in recovery.
Now to finish packing for this 11 hour flight! Ugh! :)
I will post from Bangkok tomorrow.
Congratulations and best wishes :)
Best of luck Sarah!
I'm following you in a month... leave the place tidy ;)
We'll keep this channel open if you want to post to those of us at home!
Hugs
Julia
I'm here. Sent you a pm.
Congrats and good luck.
Mariah
I'm sure you won't need it but Good Luck Sarah ;D ;D ;D ;D
You're about to have the best experience of your life and I hope you can enjoy every moment of it, Yes even the recovery because this is what we all work towards
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
Congratulations and the best of luck to you. It is inspiring for someone like me who is just starting down the road of transition to see someone achieving the dream. You are in my thoughts. :)

Thanks everyone! After some air conditioner mishaps, I am comfortable and lying in bed. Tomorrow morning is my consultation with Dr. Chet. :)
Also, no more food or alcohol from now on :(
I am really glad they got that taken care of for you and hope you had a good dinner :)
JEALOUS!!!! but also congrats!!!!! and not completely jealous, I should hopefully be seeing Dr. Brassard for mine around the end of this year, just waiting for the date.
:)Congrats!! My is only 4 months away with DR chettawut. Keep us posted with your journey!
The consultation with Chet yesterday went well. He wouldn't let me get giant boobs though! Which is good and bad, I guess. He said,"On your frame, more than 500cc would not look good". Maybe the reputation he has as being a big boob advocate is overblown? I was a little surprised at the amount of focus given to my ass and boobs compared to the penis. I guess he's seen plenty tiny circumsized ones!!
The liquid diet is not much fun. I've had a migraine all day, and was SOOO hungry for awhile. Feeling a bit better now, though.
Tomorrow is Swiff day. The next is my surgery. I'm a bit nervous, but that's to be expected. I'm not sure how people can handle this while traveling alone. I would be lost without my sweetheart, who took care of me all day.
I'll rant about the swiff tomorrow. Bye! :P
OMG 500cc is huge for boobs. I have 350cc and they are big. Anyway I wish you a successful surgery
Well Sarah the first good news for you is all the best people have their ops on Tuesdays (Including me of course)
Swiff tastes foul but I mixed it with coca cola in a big glass bought in Tesco Lotus. The size of the glass is important as it doesn't matter how diluted it is the effect is the same but the foul taste is weakened.
500cc is a huge boob. I met a girl while I was over there who got 350cc and she had a small frame. They looked fine for size but she had issues as really they were too big for her frame. I hope you have the room for them and are prepared for the exercises you'll be taught how to do by Sri. I am with you on advising folks to take someone with you if you can. I never had any illness or difficulties during my stay but having Bernadette there to look after me and keep me smilling made everything easier even when I had to perform a mission of mercy to help my newly post op friend over at The Dusit Princess the night before my op.
Good luck with the swiff and I hope all goes really well on operation day.
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
He talked me into going up to 500.
QuoteI was a little surprised at the amount of focus given to my ass and boobs compared to the penis. I guess he's seen plenty tiny circumsized ones!!
He did not seem to concerned with me either at the consult, I had a orcheictomy and so very little material. After he said I was very difficult but I think the results look good and I have almost 7" depth.
Doing this trip alone is hard, as you mentioned.
Hmm, well I guess we'll see how big 500 looks on me. I am of a rather slight build.
Busy running to the toilet and back today. I can't believe i have to do the other half of the swiff. Ugh.
This bowel cleansing is a bit sadistic!!!
So...should I wear makeup to my surgery? Wondering....

I had assumed you were and that's why I was concerned about how tight they will be post op. Did he say wether or not he intends putting them below the muscle?

I'll just advise that you will definitely pass out as much from your 2nd swiff as the first. If you don't like the rehydration drink he gave you I used Gatorade instead which tasted allot nicer. It is sadistic but then a bowel movement just after surgery would be allot worse :)

I'd advise you not to. If they don't ask you to remove it before the op you won't want to just after meaning wearing it all night. I'm sure you'll look great without and by the time they come for you at 1pm you won't care what anyone thinks of how you look. If you have anything special you want to say to your partner before going in I'd also advise that you do it in the hotel or the car going to the clinic as they won't let you hang about once you get there and your partner will be left to find their own way back. They are very efficient once you arrive and want to get you upstairs and prepared as soon as they can.
I'm excited for you as your posts are bringing back some really happy thoughts of my time.
Good luck and hugs
Sorcha ;D
I didn't ask about the muscle placement, because on his site it seems like all he does is submuscular placement. Maybe I should ask tomorrow....but I suppose he knows what he's doing either way.
My time is actually 11am instead of 1, because of the extra work i'm having done. :)
Good luck, I'm sure everything will go well. I liked Dr Chet the best and I know a few of his other patients and they loved his work. . He does tend to suggest a bigger breast implant , I'm only 5 ft 7 ins 132 lbs and he suggested a 350 cc.
hehe, i'm 5'9 130lbs.
Maybe they will still be huge. I certainly hope so. :)

Well, if they're huuuge, you get the benefit of extra dimensions of curves. I'd heard about Dr Chett's partiality to large breasts, so I saw a few specialists locally to get a proper idea of size. I'm kind of tiny at 5'3", so massive breasts won't be a great idea.
Sarah (and others) - do you know the brand of implants Dr Chett tends to use? That's one bit of info I don't yet have.
And Sarah - HUGE HUGS for tomorrow.

Julia
Dr. Chettawut does love bigger implants. I was 170cm and 55kg on the day of my pre-op consultation and he recommended 435cc implants. I was scared at first, especially during the first week or two, but they are looking very nice as they D&F. I think I could have gone a little smaller, but not by much. I am a month post op now and I am very happy. I meant to ask what brand of implants he uses and when they should me replaced, but i completely forgot with all the excitement. I will write to Ms. Som later this week about another topic, but I will be sure to ask and post it here.
Good luck with your surgery.
Wish you luck and a speedy recovery .

Hi All,
Just heard from the Hospital and Sarah's operation is complete. She has woken and then gone back to sleep. I get to see her in the morning.

I don't know why, but reading this just made me cry. I am really happy for you guys.

Thanks for the update Arielle :)
It's the best feeling in the world hearing Sri saying deep breath and when you do saying squeeze my hand then ok back to sleep now :) Then you know you've done it :)
Hope you enjoy your visit and that Sarah is recovering well
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
So awesome!
:)
Thinking of you both :) it will all go very well and we will see you in a few days xoxox
Theresa
Thanks everyone! I am feeling much better today and was told I'll be coming but to the cottages on Saturday morning.
;)
Yay great news :) It won't be long now before the external packing is off and the drains come out and then you'll get the first look at what magic Chett produced :)
Hope all is well and you are soon safely back in your cottage :)
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
When does the external packing come off???
Hi Sarah. My external bandaging came off the night before I was released. Internal packing on day 7.
Yes Sarah, Mary had the same experience as me it seems, Sri and the other nurses will get it off just before Chett is ready to come and have a look. For you that will be in a few hours and I hope you see some really good things :)
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
Congrats, girl :)
Hope to see u in the next couple days! I just got here last night and had my consultation this morning. I'm at the cottages too :)
Jess
LOL, I think I may have seen you when i was stumbling out of there this morning. Was the first time i'd been on my feet since tuesday.
Back at the cottages now. I'll pm you.
Hey, just got back from doing some sightseeing this morning. I'll come over a little later if you're up for it. Going to Tesco soon, need anything?
no thanks, i can't eat anything fun anyways! you can stop by if you like though.
anyways, my vagina looks normal enough, but is really really swollen. I'm back at the hotel now, and had some spotting earlier, but I guess that's to be expected.
Also, I now fill a D cup...and my ass hurts. Cant see that as well LOL

Well thats good to hear... so maybe some kind of vacation feeling :)
Well, the recovery room can get a little depressing the first few days to be honest. Thank god for one of Chet's nurses named Noi. That lady is an angel. I love her so much!!!
(Actually, all the nurses are really sweet)
Noi was my fav she is so comforting.

Well if treated with some kind of consideration I think most of the people in that country respond well...
I have read that pineapple juice might be an idea after surgery because it contains bromelain (bromelain is also available as powder) and might help with bruising and healing... of course in appropriate doses... did they tell you that, too ? It was from another Chett thread... a glass of fresh juice every day for example...
but better ask the nurse first if they didn't tell you... :)
Some pineapple juice should make for some vacation feeling :)
Noi is some kind of superstar, She kept me sane while I was in the small room in Chetts place, She also is a great distraction when painful things are happening like drain removal. I don't have enough good words to say about all Chetts staff or even Chett himself but Noi is by far my favourite nurse which is why she was given all the stuff I bought to make my cottage more comfortable.
As for swelling I cured mine and a couple of other girls by taking Turmeric pills. 2 a day is enough to soon get rid of it and it's a natural spice used allot in Indian cooking so if you cannot get any pills eat a curry. The little drug store on Pattanakarn Road just before the footbridge you use to reach Tesco Lotus will likely have it or maybe even Tesco Lotus itself will stock some.
Hope all keeps going well with recovery
Hugs
Sorcha ;D
I love Noi. She is such a sweet woman. I love Sri too, but she is usually the one hurting you, while Noi rubs you and tells you that you are beautiful.
Today, I got my internal packing removed (OUCH) and had my first dilation. My official depth is 6.5 inches. Sri said everything looked good inside. I a am SO happy!!!!
Also, real food for the first time in 9 days! Yay! :)
I'll recap from the beginning. I was picked up by dr chefs driver and taken to the surgery center. They stripped me and put in in a robe and laid me on a bed. Dr Chet came in and said we were waiting for the anesthesiologist. He asked if I wanted a sleeping pill since I was freaking out and I took it. I quickly fell asleep and then instantly. Heard people calling my name saying deep breaths. I was like wtf. Someone said "all done" and I'm like "what"? Before passing out again. When I wake up I am in a tight chest binding bandage, this weird buttock cast/diaper thing, and these robot pants that prevent Dvt by compressing your legs. It was not comfortable, but I'm pretty sure they kept me on morphine that night, because I slept easily. The next day would not be so easy.
I was woken up by a nurse to take antibiotics at 7am the next morning. Which hurt my stomach but not too bad. Then at 8 they brought hot chocolate and soy milk. I drank some of each and had another assortment of pills to take. Painkillers, anti swelling, antibiotics, muscle relaxers....it was like 8 pills lol. My stomach again got angry but calmed down enough for me to sleep again. Then at 11 was woken up for more antibiotics.then at 12 more hot chocolate and soy Milk and 8 more pills. I felt horrible now. Somehow got to sleep and then at 5 more antibiotics. At 6, more hot chocolate and soy milk and 8 more pills. This was too much and I spent the next few hours throwing up, which was even more horrible bc of the tight chest bandages. THen at 11, more pills. I asked for anti nausea meds but they wouldn't give them. So I took the pills with water and struggled to vomit for an hour before finally succeeding. Then they made me take the pills again, this time with anti nausea meds. I dreaded mealtime from then on. The next two days weren't as bad though, as I asked for an icepack to wrap around my throat with each meal and saved some crackers to take the premeal antibiotics with. I was so happy to get out of that place. The nurses are nice, but all the pills are horrible unless you have an iron stomach.
Anyways, my ass looks nice now, I have d cup boobs, and my vagina is looking nice. Dr. Chet is an amazing surgeon with a very caring staff. The food and Meds are what made it an ordeal for me.
So glad to hear things are going well!!!
Great :)
So you can relax and begin to enjoy the place a bit :) .
hugs
thanks for the update! ;) I can't wait til my surgery with him. Less then 4 months away!! Keep us posted & post some pics :)
Great news Sarah! So, good luck with the dilations - you'll no doubt let us know how they go!

Wonderful and exciting for you Jess except today when the swiff takes over. I also think it's great that you're all getting along so well and that we are able to see a great example of the main benefit of staying at The Rama. Not saying I never made friends during my time there because I did but you all seem to be having fun and supporting each other so well :)
Good Luck for tomorrow Jess

Thanks Sorcha :) I just took the first dose of swiff about 45 mins ago, waiting for it to work it's (dark) magic :-\
And agreed, Sarah and Arielle, and everyone here at "trans alley" is so wonderful and supportive, so much help to me when I first got here, and great to have some girls who can relate and going through the same thing :)
I agree totally. It's great to have people around who have been through it themselves when you arrive, and fun to tell other newcomers about things after you're past them.
My catheter came out today. YAY!!!! I said 'I'm freeee!' and spun around in front of Sri and a younger nurse today. They found it amusing :P
Good luck with the swiff Jess. I hope its not too rough on you.
So, everything's going well. I just don't have as much free time after dilation and breast massage each day.
The stitches are starting to come out, and I have been doing #3 for a few days. Dilation is a chore, but my ass isn't as sore lately and the boobs are less hard.
It's kinda amazing how well the human body heals. I haven't even had any blood since the first week postop, and have been off pain meds of any kind for around 3 wks. :)
good news, congrats.
Congratulations that is awesome
