I transitioned in 2007, and until a few months ago, I was tucking almost everyday, but I started having pelvic pain, so I stopped. Two weeks ago I found a small lump on one of my testicles, which thankfully is benign calcification, and since I have a few of these smaller calcified nodules inside of the testicle, I have to get another ultrasound in 6 months, but the prognosis is good, and my Doctor is not worried, but he wants to be proactive. I didn't feel comfortable talking to him about tucking, but I will talk to my primary care physician about it.
I may have been tucking the wrong way, since I did not place my testicles inside of the inguanal canals, I just placed everything between my thighs, and pulled my underwear up to secure everything, and since my package is small and it wasn't uncomfortable, that's the way I did it.
It is extremely important for us to do self exams on our breasts, and if pre-op, our testicles also.
I've been doing it since I was 10 (without even realizing what I was doing). As a result it grew crooked slightly, but I've never had any problems.
Um I do pretty much the same things you did and I did it for more than 10 years. Just put everythings back between the thigh and put on underwear, I am quite comfortable with doing it. Just enough to make sure it look nice. And occasion hard tuck when I go for bikini. I never thought about that will cause the problem, I think you should talk to the specialist about it and come back and share us this matter, so we could be beware too :) and get well soon
I asked my endoc this same question once. He laughed heartily, like it was the funniest thing he had heard all week :~D
I just started tucking recently but only really use it when I'm wearing something requiring a flat front like a body con skirt. I've tried the inguanal canal thing and find it tough to do.
I've only ever pushed the testicles up inside rather than between the legs because it hides everything better and also helps prevent painful squashing from certain actions like sitting. I guess it's a personal thing depending on exactly how you're built. The only thing I've noticed is the skin near the base of the penis tends to get a bit irritated from time to time from the friction of my tight undergarments. It doesn't help that I have to layer a pair of panties and sport shorts to maintain the tuck just right, so it gets a bit 'toasty' down there at times. I've only started full-time recently so I guess I'm gonna find out the hard way if I'm causing damage. It's going to be a hot summer... sigh...
Several decades ago {well before my GRS} I suffered a 'testicular torsion' which was the direct result of a couple of years of nigh-on continuous tucking and taping; things went horribly wrong and being very concerned about personal privacy, I was several days late in seeking medical help for the agonising pain as the testicle`s ischemia became terminal; resultant in the need for emergency orchidectomy surgery and several days in the hospital in recovery.
So yes, there are definitely serious risks in long-term tucking!

Since going full time recently, I've wondered if tucking affects GRS later down the road. It's a necessary evil and I don't see too many ways around it without wearing baggy dresses and pants all the time.
