I wear a half binder from underworks more than advised... it never hurts while wearing it i even sometimes forget i have one which makes me happy. i am a full A just for 'knowledge' and the reason why i don't follow the max 12 hour rule is due to extreme dysphoria. I am not 100% sure if its due to binding i say so because i haven't had this issue prior to binding. I have developed brown mark under my 'breasts' :-X and recently they have been hurting when i touch them because of chaffing ??? i bind my chest downwards so the binder doesn't touch any skin under my chest so i don't understand this. Has anyone else experienced discoloration under their chest or chaffing? I'm going to start putting baby powder and chaffing cream under everyday to see improvement if not i guess have to stop binding for so long because I'm not trying to hurt myself intentionally.
Yeah, it's from the skin on skin contact of "binding down;" I've had this happen as well, and it's pretty uncomfortable. There's nothing you can do about it but let the skin breath and use some powder when you do bind. This sucks with extreme dysphoria, but there's nothing else you can do if you can't get surgery now. If you don't tend to those areas, it can lead to rawness and semi-permanent pressure scarring, which I have also experienced. Hope that helps.

I recently noticed brown spots appearing in the same spot, but I hadn't connected them to the binding! The pain, yes... but not the discoloration. Always nice to know we aren't the only ones going through something!
