Hi lovelies!
I was wondering if you had any HRT-safe recommendations for hair growth supplements that you have tried yourself and found work well? I have heard that Biotin is a good thing to supplement, but I was just looking for more second opinions and advice.
On another note, is it true that washing your hair less often will help it grow more?

Concerning hair washing, some ingredients of standard products are doubtful...
I'd go organic and wash less often...
if you compare with animals (of course no direct comparison meant) an ingredient for healthy hair is a good nutrition.
hugs
I am currently using Hair Volume. It has some great reviews on Amazon and it also improves the condition of your skin and nails :)

Aww thanks so much gorgeous! I am so excited, I was expecting it to be all super expensive! I'll likely post back on this thread in a few and let you know how things are going :D
Biotin and Zink will help extent the growth cycle of your hair (your hair naturally grows and then goes dormant for a while which isn't normally noticed as other hairs become active at that time but by extending the growth cycle you will have more hair growing at any one time making your hair seem thicker)...
Hot jojoba oil treatments are also supposed to help by keeping the pores in the scalp open and healthy as it is anti-bacterial and effects the body's natural sebum production by naturally clearing away chemical buildup and being absorbed by the hair and scalp making the hair softer and less likely to develop split ends.
Getting your hair cut/trimmed regularly will also help you grow longer hair which I know sounds like your working against it but really what your doing is preventing split ends which makes the hair weaker and far more likely to break (much higher up then you trimmed)
Washing your hair regularly is so important to your hair growth its not even funny and the real reason is that you are washing your scalp and removing dirt and contaminates that will lead to clogged pores and hair follicles (causing slow growth) I'm sure some one will swear not washing their hair helped them but likely that was because it helped keep their hair moisturized (preventing split ends/hair breakage) but that growth was likely much slower then it could have been if they washed their hair and followed the simple hair care steps I'm outlining here.
When your washing your hair use a colder setting in the shower as hot water will strip the hairs of its natural moistures and make it weaker and more likely to break (hair is naturally weak when its wet but even weaker when it hot and wet) when drying your hair treat it carefully as its at its weakest (get a High Performance Drying Towel such as the ones used in car detailing and just wrap your hair with it and let it absorb the moisture) then with your hair is mostly dry (usually in minutes) put it up or blow and style it.
These are just suggestions and can all be confirmed through simple searches on the internet... I hope they help you out :)

Thank you so much love! How often would you recommend washing, then? Right now I wash 1-2 times a week. Would you recommend washing more often or is that alright?
when washing it, have you ever just went for the scalp? my hair was feeling thin until months ago, instead of washing the who hair and stripping it, it just lathered the scalp every couple days the the whole hair weekly or less since the shampoo was hard to keep at the scalp. my hair started feeling thick and just better. i even gave up hair spray and doing pony tail just to keep stuff out of it so i can use plain water. ive gone through tons of shampoos to agree that less is best except scalp.. my hair was thin when i started this, but now my t is in the single digits and i have been using a minoxidil topical for a year. my bald spot in back and the recession up front has filled in. still not happy with it, but a good spot to make a male happy, until they find what they have todo[emoji15]
please do post if anyone else has success with any methods like the nice ladies above;) my method worked for me, theirs did for them, but maybe not the next person.. just gotta try them all..
I'm very curious about this topic. My hair is very curly and have a bunch of hair come out every day after washing, drying, combing, and styling. I could darn near make a wig if I saved all the hair. If I could not lose so much each day, I would be very happy. The only advice I can give if you have curly hair, using a diffuser with your hair dryer helps dry everything without making too much hair fallout. Not sure about other hair types.

If you don't work out and sweat to much every 3rd day is about as far as you regularly want to go without washing (for example wash on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) you can occasionally go longer by using dry shampoo between washings but that wont help out your scalp... if your still not happy with your hair (how it looks, fullness, coverage) talk to your stylist as they can best evaluate your hair and give you suggestions as the right cut, color or perm can make the world of difference
Hi,
I have dry curly hair. I have been going nuts trying a lot of products. My therapist recommended mixed chicks products. When that showed little help she than recommended ethnic products. I used Shea butter for conditioning then washing. That helped but not a cure.
I rinse my hair every day in the shower without shampoo. I use a keratin spray oil and a Moroccan oil spray and a firm gel put on when the hair is wet and in measured amounts. This has helped a lot.
