Title: re-shrinking skinny jeans (howto)?
Post by: Kelly_1979 on June 02, 2015, 01:20:37 PM
Ok so a few months ago I bought a few pairs of skinny jeans from h&m (couldn't find anywhere else a pair that fit me). I wore a pair of jeans for like a month (not every day) and even after washing (30C, clothes line drying) they are so big now. They are 99% cotton, 1% lycra/spandex. Initially they were very tight (comfortable) but now they are almost loose (everywhere - about 1" waist, legs...).
Does anybody know a "safe" method do shrink them again? (forgot to add: on the jeans it says not to tumble dry them but...gosh they not skinny anymore)

Before anybody asks if I'm fat...6'/~168 pounds or so.

I read about tumble drying but I don't know for how many minutes I should dry them, the optimum temperature etc...

What do you girls (and guys) do?

Here is a howto:

all at your own risk :)

Another possibility would be to reseam them... turning them around and making them tighter...
there should be services who do that...
