I've always known that I was a woman trapped in a man's form, but I've always been afraid to say something until I say the interview with Caitlyn Jenner, she has inspired me to embrace my true self. I just would really like some advice and support from the community. I am 20 almost 21 and plan to go by the name Harleen.

Awesome!!!! Im so glad to know you want to live instead of the long gruling pain of hiding.
I thought I waited too long and would never pass. After some years on hormones i would get female pronouns said to me all the time and this is just getting a sandwich durring work in jeans and t shirts. I will say instead of being scarred of what people will think only go through the motions, empty your thoughts because that is your fear and just know you are already there. you are only walking the timeline to this reality. Manerisms and passability will be a thing of you being yourself and it all forms around you.
I am currently in hospitalization from a really bad 3 story fall and did nothing to girl up and nurses had no idea till i told them I wasnt born female. no facial surgery, legs growing hair, wig falling all over.
the eyes of people see what they know is outside of them and you being you will bring that image.
And i love you, i do love all and you have my love, Anela!!!!
Thank you so much, and I hope you get better Anela

I'd say take the time you need but keep at it... this all is a process... and try to have some fun along the way...
just remember there are many others who have successfully gone through this process...
and keep coming here and asking questions :)
*hugs*
Welcome to Susan's Place Harleen. I started the process at 23 and with this web site you should be able to avoid the mistakes I made. Decide what you want to start with, ask and I am sure the help will be out there for you.
I find it interesting that young children are aware the gender is incorrect because I was a little slow and didn't figure it out till puberty. Not that the signs weren't there because as a boy I behaved more like a girl.
Hello and welcome to Susan's.
