I am a transitioning MTF. I was married, raised 3 children with my ex and when 9-11-2001 hit it was time to go deeper (yes, Osama did give me a gift!) At the time being an outgoing, confirmed Crossdresser and no thoughts of electro, hormones or surgery I plunged into the local Communities and was estatically content. I've gone to some of the Trannie events in the Northeast (FanFair, First Event etc) and I was In DC with NTAC in 2004 on Capitol Hill and also protesting (twice) at HRC that year. In 2005 I started electrolysis. On Feb 1 of this year, 2007, I started hormones. I wasn't ready until this year. Again I came to DC this past May with NCTE. I am not FT yet but I am out at work, with friends and family. By the end of the year I will be 24/7.
Of course, I have questions and I need to hear from people who have done it and are living it. I have always held off acting on my femme side since I can remember and I always tried to be good and do what others expected of me. Now, I cannot wait much longer. I need to progress and there's no way I can backtrack.
I hope to learn from Susan's Place and I have been impressed by the thoughts and ideas and have chuckled at the way out humor that I have found here. And maybe I might somehow teach someone else something.
