Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Howdy, I live in NYC and I'm lined up to get top surgery with a guy called Daniel Kaufman who has just started doing top surgery through Bronx Lebanon hospital.  This is great because it's available for people with state Medicaid. 
However...I haven't been able to find a whole lot of info about him. During the consultation he seemed knowledgeable and said he had done many top surgeries before but there's no testimonials on Transbucket and he doesn't have a transsexual section on his website (I'm told he's in the process of adding it). 
Just wondering if anyone has had surgery with him, or has heard anything about this guy at all?  Any info at all would be super helpful!

You should be able to request pictures of his work, if he won't let you see any then that's a red flag.

Agreed.  Or, if he doesn't have any, that would be a flag too.  I would also ask for the specific number of top surgeries he has done (of your type - double incision, peri, etc).  I think experience is really important.

I am also scheduled to get top surgery with Dr. Kaufman in the next couple of weeks.
I had very similar experiences while researching him - just couldn't find any of his work online. I did however email Karyna Fernández (Patient Coordinator) at his private clinic after meeting with him there in March and she sent me a few before and after pictures of 1 patient- but no info on when the pictures were taken and no info from the patient. I also spoke with him about transbucket and he also said it was something they would be working on. 

my overall experience with Bronx Lebanon has been a little messy but Dr. Kaufman has mostly been very responsive throughout.


When did you have your 1st consult with him and when are you scheduled to have your surgery?

Hey its been a while since this was replied to but is he a good doctor? I'm on long Island looking for a top surgeon and I have no info on this guy. I want to know if he's trust worthy.
