Hi everyone, my name is Alice. I am a MtF transgendered individual. Im about to celebrate my 21st birthday next month. I am without a doubt an introvert, so I am trying to come out of my shell and start talking about who I am and who I want to be with, my goals, my challenges, and life in between all of this. I started really feeling I wanted to be a girl in 5th grade. I kept it bottled inside me, since my father was very religious and very violent. I started researching it heavily later in middleschool and discovered all the terms and what I had to do to transition, as well as finding out I wasnt alone in this. I'm currently three sessions in with a therapist specializing in transitioning and it seems like I will start HRT at the tail end of summer (so relieved). I did Running Start, which is a program in WA that allows students to skip 11th and 12th grade and go to college instead. I was full time and had tons of stress. Things started getting bad when my Bi-Polar started to get very intense as well as my PTSD was getting worse due to my father. I ended up getting my AA and survived an OD attempt, then went on to university for my third year. I however dropped out due to stress, PTSD, and Bi-Polar making me unsafe. I ended up buying a shotgun to end it all, but my mom called the cops and there was a big standoff, but Im still here, so I guess it went well. I have been at home trying to stay safe while dealing with the PTSD, gender issues, cocaine addiction, and my Bi-Polar. Now that I have my life's story out of the way, I just want to say that I look forward to becoming an active contributor to this community, it makes me feel good to help others, and I hope I will, as well as get a lot myself.
