Title: Any comments on the NuBra strapless product line?
Post by: Violet Bloom on June 14, 2015, 11:35:29 PM
I've only found a few, brief, older mentions of this bra line-up in past posts so I thought it best to target the products directly in a dedicated thread, particularly since there are a lot of new versions offered now.

I'd like to know if anyone has experience with any of these, particularly if you are a B-cup or smaller.  I'm specifically referring to this quality brand and not the myriad non-USA-made knockoffs.  They're a bit expensive and I don't know if any local retailer has them to try out.  I'm concerned about the fit of the cups because they use a common lettered size for 32 through 38-band cup equivalent.  (Seriously - how can there be that much tolerance and have it still look right?!?)  I'm also worried about them flattening me out too much when I'm trying to use them for push-up effect.  This is the specific model I'm most curious about:

My regular bra size is a 34B but I often have difficulty with the cup spacing not being wide enough (my nipples rest at about 9" apart).  I also don't have a lot of breast volume below the nipple line, which isn't helping anything.  If I can use the NuBra stuff underneath a full bra then I may fit comfortably without side-spillage into more bras, and it should help with creating some cleavage.  Alone they would be a nice to have for tank tops and open-back attire.  The most important thing for my look is to securely keep the breast mass pushed inward and upward.  Having cleavage that actually stays in place would be a joyous occasion!

If you are using these for cleavage enhancement (worn under a bra) go with the seamless. I use the Nubra all the time for tops and dresses that show off my cleavage.  I used to use tape but it damaged my skin way to much.  I also use b or a cup only so it lays flat under your nipples. They last about 15 wearings and then they lose their stickieness.

I assume you know how to use these for cleavage. But if not it's actually quite simple.

1. Pull breast up and toward the opposite shoulder
2. Place Nubra under nipple
3. Repeat opposite side
4. Put on normal bra
5. Put in breast forms (I have found foam to be the best as they can be folded under the breast tissue to add additional push up effect)
6. Use makeup contour to add shading effect on chest and cleavage area

See my avatar for end result.  No I am not on hormones.

Interesting and helpful feedback, thanks!  I'm quite surprised you only got 15 wearings out of them.  That seems somewhat accurate for the knockoffs but nowhere near the claims and reviews of the original ones.  I don't know if I can justify spending that kind of money for such a short lifespan.

I'm not sure if you were saying you had B-cup breasts or just creating that size from scratch, seeing as you qualified it by saying you're not on hormones.  I am a hormonally-developed B-cup and so I'm not sure if I would have to be adding much extra filler, if at all.  I look and feel quite good as it is in a padded 34C bra also and this is as large as I'd ever want to look.

I have worn the push up model a few times, I did not find it too bad, I have a strapless dress, with a low back line where you cant wear a normal bra.

I was told by my cis-girl roommate, sometimes a girl must suffer for beauty. Its part of been a woman. She said, she is a rule, the more uncomfortable you feel in an outfit, the better you look.

I've used the knock-offs with a conventional bra as I once tried wearing a clone Nubra according to the directions and hated having my breasts pulled about to create so-called better cleavage.  After cutting off the breast pulling torture clips I found they worked very nicely as a way to enhance my bustline and they were comfortable to wear as well.  The self stick-on glue works well and doesn't irritate my skin so I regard them as a winner for only $NZ8.00 a pair.
