Hi - my name is Anne. I have been lurking here for a long time. Today for the first time in many years I have allowed myself to be who I am. While born male, I I have known since adolescence that I was a female but have tried to conform to what was expected of me, expected based on my anatomy. I am not young, and would love to connect other mature transsexual women, like myself who have repressed their self, but now are allowing their inner self to emerge into their vissible self and develop congruity between their brain and body.

Hi Anne,

You are definitely not alone in transitioning late. There are varying reasons for it but the difficulties in the past compared to now are a factor.

Welcome to Susan's so good to have you here...

I knew from a young kid who I wasn't, but due to the time then I locked emotions up and kept myself sane... but today still not fully transitioned for a few reasons...

Look forward to seeing you about, sharing makes things so much easier...

Welcome to Susan't Place Anne. You didn't say how mature so I don't know if I qualify but I am willing to help if I can. While surgery was a long time ago I remember all that went on in my early life pretty clearly I like hanging around here because some of what I went through may be useful to those facing what I did years ago.

Not sure about the older thingy parameters, I am only 58  just a getting my feet wet in my new life. so I dont know if I can help with the older part. but getting to live is worth it for me at any age
