Title: out to my Modern Orthodox Rabbi
Post by: rachel89 on June 20, 2015, 09:33:30 PM
I go to a shul with a modern orthodox rabbi. I came oout he was very accepting but told me not everyone  would be accepting. I told him not everyone is accepting of Jews either. He joked "..and things aren't hard enough already"
I'm happy that my rabbi is acepting and I'm happier he can keep a sense of humor throughout this. he is the first person who I came out to that was able to have a sense of humor about it and not be so depressingly serious.

Sorry Rachel!  I just saw this post.. awesome you rock, girl!  I also don't like coming out to people who are very serious about the issue of being trans, that's depressing, I agree.

BTW, I am Jewish as well - Reform.
