Title: Has anybody tried ultrasound hair removal ?
Post by: mmmmm on June 23, 2015, 01:53:28 PM
So, I have more than not finished the laser hair removal on face... and what is left are few reddish hairs and not so few white/blonde hairs. Has anybody tried ultrasound option? It is supposed to remove hair regardless of melanin, and if it works, it should be an alternative to electrolysis. I'm not that enthousiastic about electrolysis on my face at all...

Ultrasound hair removal is a scam. It was driven by Applisonix, who produced pseudo-scientific studies (not peer reviewed) that were solely aimed at driving up the stock price. Applisonix exploded on the scene back in 2011, quickly shot to a peak of interest, then collapsed as actual field effectiveness was found to be very, very low, which in turn collapsed the stock. Of course, the scammers didn't care. They'd started the company, sold all their stock to suckers, and walked away wealthy.

I would advise reconsidering ultrasound hair removal and anyone claiming to provide that service.
