Hehe just read about it also, lovely to see game developers being progressive
Needs more women and non-sexualized characters in the business though.

How it went from Grace Hopper to a male-dominated field is astonishing.

But tis a step.

So ofcourse i've been in discussion on various gaming forums. I do not suggest it but I was quite sad yesterday with all the bitterness towards this

and then the developers of GW2 reached out.

"I'm glad to see this come around :) The designer who added her is openly trans herself (plus myself, another dev) <3"

i'm glowing ever since  :)
I hope I follow my dreams.

This really isn't surprising.  Arenanet has been including positive portrayals of minority characters for awhile, now.  In the first season of the Living Story, two of the main story characters were lesbians.  When you initiate the final assault against Scarlet Briar, a character known as Marjory Delaqua becomes injured.  Enraged, the mesmer called Kasmeer Meade uses her magic to distract Scarlet so the main hero can defeat her.

As Marjory lay potentially dying, Kasmeer kisses her.

There are other references throughout the first season of the story where Marjory and Kasmeer hint that their relationship is more than just a casual friendship.
