Title: Little Victory
Post by: cheesetovey on June 25, 2015, 09:49:24 PM
yo everyone.
So I was having some voice dysphoria so I decided that it wouldnt hurt if I practiced a girl voice.
Looked up some vids on youtube and almost completely ignored them..... I figured a better solution would be to just test out pitches and stuff in online games. so I went on my fave game DOTA (and if you play it i'm always looking for new friends  ;)) and used the voice chat on random people. At first People could easily tell that I was a boy trying to be a girl. at one point I was even called a demented chipmunk xD.
But as the day went on I think I got better and people actually believed I was a girl :D

IDK I guess it's not that important but I just wanted to share this little victory.

Also as an FYI there are Mobile app's for voice training too called "EVA"

Congrats

That sounds like a great innovative method. I have serious voice issues and even trying to fix it causes me distress. none of the video's help at all, heck half the time I don't even really understand what they are doing.

but that is a very neat way to practice and I will likely do something similar once i figure things out. or just give up and live knowing that everyone will always know and see me as a monster or insane. Sorry Emotions are very up and down lately.

I know that I don't have the voice training experience, but for anyone trying to get a more feminine voice, do singing exercises. Any scales that go up to the top of your singing range will strength the upper limits of your vocal chords. If you're trying to emphasise something, you need to raise your tone a little.
So if you love singing, work on your singing voice!
