Just today I somehow realized that I am here (on this planet, in this life) just for fun. I have no family, no kids, no spouse, no responsibilities towards anybody.
In the last few months I had started worrying more and more about my job, about financial security and how all that would affect my future, and I had started feeling really bad because of that.
But the truth is, I am here for fun. I do not need this particular job. I do not need financial security. What I do need is having friends and being comfortable with myself. I have friends, but they do not live near me. If being happy means moving somewhere else, there is little keeping me here. Just knowing that I am free to go makes me feel better.
Try to see it as an exercise in survival: Look closely at what you have (and be really honest about that), find out what you need, and then take the necessary actions to get that.
It is your life, make yourself comfortable again, one step at a time.
