Hi
I am mum to a FtoM 11 year old who is about to start hormone blockers.
Just joined to get some advice from everyone who has been through or going through this journey as my son is really suffering in the female body he was born with so I am trying my best to give him all the support he needs.
Hi Jason's mum
Welcome to Susan's
I did see your other post... thanks for the intro too.

Hi!
Hi Jasons's mum. I just wanted to say welcome and to let you know that you aren't alone and neither is your son. Feel free to have him join us also. It is always good to see supportive parents.
School and friends are hard when you are young and even harder when you are trans. It takes strength and patience. A supportive place to ask questions or even just vent frustrations can do wonders.
Hi Jason's mum. Welcome to Susan's. It's always nice to see when parents come on to support their children. I look forward to seeing around the forums. Good luck and hugs.

Hi Jason's mum. He's so lucky to have mother who understands him :)
I can describe relations with my mother(single parent). We discuss openly, honestly our feelings and situations..Also we together carefully analyzed all options, one by one..Her advices taught me to protect mysef from bad influences or emotional blackmails(Trans people are very vulnerable during teenage years..)
Yes we had difficult times, but our family as a whole won.She defended me from people who told her to abandon me.Above all labels I'm her child...no matter son or daughter.
During teenage years I changed name to gender neutral(but more male like). She helped me.I flew to another part of world in order to have third family member(my son,her grandson). Now I continue schooling at Uni,and to many people at first glance we're strange family(grandma,FTM and half-Chinese toddler)...but many people who wear masks and hide their personality come to us and tell us their life stories and secrets..They think we would understand strange stories and their true face..
