Title: New to this
Post by: Aeirs on July 05, 2015, 01:00:39 PM
Hi everyone,

Aries is the female name I have chosen for myself

I have been lurking around the site for a while and want to introduce myself!

I have not started anything towards transition except cross dressing behind closed doors, and the only person I have come out to is my soon to be wife after she found my girl clothes

I'm not sure what else to say but if anyone has any questions feel free to ask I'm like an open book

Welcome aboard Aries.  Sounds like you have a supportive fiancee.  Good to have someone in your corner!  Not everyone transitions or needs to and there are plenty of people here who have crossdressed for years.

Thanks for coming out of lurking status.  You know your way around no doubt :D

Welcome to Susan's Place. I am glad you have come out to your soon to be wife as that will save you many problems down the road. Your introduction letter and the post you have already made indicate to me that this is the right place for you to be. You are early in exploring yourself and may not know the answer to many questions but you will learn them here. If we can be of any help, let us know.

Hi Aries, welcome to susan's. Many of us, including myself, started dressing behind close doors so we know how that goes. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

I would like to at some point but as of right now I wouldn't dare leave my house in female clothes

It takes time to become comfortable in public. I still remember my first trip out the door. That was one of the hardest doors to pull open I have ever seen.

By the way, incase you didn't catch it, I have been post surgical for a long time.

The excitement left long before I had surgery but the joy of living continues to this day. For me it's, going through the day had having everything feel right even when you are having a bad day. Right now I have a large mens T shirt with short pants and no makeup but I am comfortable appearing in pubic and I will be ID as a woman. That is what it was all about for me. Yes, like you it was exciting wearing female clothes at first but that wasn't what I really wanted. I wanted the feeling that I was in the wrong body/life to go away and it did but it wasn't the SRS that caused that to happened. I had reached that point before I made the decision for surgery.

If you take your time and do everything right, that is what the future holds. If you get impatient and try to cut corners, the results are not as good. It may not even take massive amount of surgery to reach that goal but the most important thing is getting your head cleaned up so when you enter the new life you are ready for it. Feel free to ask me any questions that come to mind. I am on this board to help others.
