Hi
Once my dad said something about girls having more androgen or testosterone in their blood, and some guys having more estrogen or something and in his logic, that is what makes people gay or straight.
Anyhow, im not too sure on that, however, as someone who is pre-T, there are some things I have noticed about myself:
1, I have a 'teen-stache', the fuzz on the upper lip, much like biological guys have, and a lot of hair also on my chin, Ive shaved it twice and it keeps coming. ( which is good ).
2. apparently I have a guys face
3, a sort of adams apple ive had since age 12, my throat is very prominent
4, pretty broad shoulders, and not much hips ( but still growing since no blockers or anything >:| )
im 16 in three days,
have any other transgender guys gotten this? when I have blood tests will there be more testosterone in me?
I also have definitely started female puberty which sucks but it only really kicked in at the start of this year and halfway through last year... like getting my first bloodbath in December before going on depo provera.
thanks, david
I had a few rogue chin hairs and could sprout some interesting body hair pre-T. My face is round, which tended to be read as female pre-T. No adam's apple, but my shoulders are huge.
My advice would be to get screened for PCOS. Based on a conversation in a Facebook group a few months back, there were quite a few guys who either had a diagnosis or many of the symptoms of it that account for all of the things you describe.
I have upper lip hair as well as hair in pretty much all the places women aren't supposed to have any. I've got a happy trail that would make most trans guys envious and I've never taken a drop of T. Gave me plenty of shame before I really embraced my transgender self...
I have a broad ribcage, but it runs in the family. My mom and daughter have the same.
I mentioned this in another thread (see "women with adam's apples" lol) but I do, or did, have sort of a lump in my throat that resembles an adam's apple. It's been there since childhood. I think it's because of my posture and because of the fact that I'm so thin and bony.
Body hair can be hereditary depending on your ethnicity. It's possible for cis women to have it in these places just as much as trans men. There is also an intersex condition that can cause it, though. I just don't remember what it was called. Some of the symptoms were downy facial hair, shorter than average height, and irregular periods.
Sounds like PCOS. I have a friend with full facial hair due to PCOS.
I was just googling if I'm the only one regarding facial hair, actually xD
I shave about every three days and it's getting... hairy. I'm pre-T but I've always had a high level of testosterone in my body.
I'm pre T and I have all the traits that you have, however I have been on blockers for a while now.. When I have blood tests the doctors have never mentioned higher testosterone levels (before I was on blockers).
I did question this at first as well though.
