Starting is usually as easy as making a phone call. Are you looking for informed consent or a therapist? Using a therapist can be useful for helping find other resources a well as dealing with the unique issues that happen with transition.

Sadly I have no health insurance, no Obamacare (the elected dictator refused federal funding for Obamacare) and only a pt job that doesn't pay during the summer.

ACA is federal, not by state. However, I understand where you are coming from as I have no insurance either. Some therapists will work on a sliding scale and some informed consent clinics will also.  What state are you in?

South Carolina where the governor refused federal funding for obamacare. If you're sick, its a 6 hour wait at the free clinic or nothing. Obamacare exists but there's no funding so it might just as well not exist!

Again, it is federal, what funding was denied was for expanded medicaid. Have you called an agent to talk about your options?

Yup and can't afford any of them. Too expensive given I make $7k a year!

My state doesn't have the expanded medicaid either. I know people with monthly premiums of $50. I wish I knew how they did it.

Could you find another part time job or even find a full time one?

Lolol. This is South Carolinidstan. 48% of the population is on some form of funding from the state! The only jobs going are McJobs. I keep applying and hearing nothing back - aside from timewasters like agencies. I'm so used to being put on agencies books and never hearing back that my answer to agencies when it turns out a career builder vacancy isn't an actual employer is unrepeatable.

I'm woirking on turning an old bus into a moitorhome so I can blow this accursed state before I get wrinkled and old and still underemployed.
