Title: FFS With Dr. Spiegel.
Post by: ShadowCharms on July 12, 2015, 02:29:59 PM
Hi everyone,

I am scheduled for FFS with Dr. Jeffry Spiegel On August 18th, 2015. I am getting forehead contouring and rhinoplasty. I'm still debating whether I will include a scalp advance. I have been advised against one and am currently planning on not getting it, but my final decision hasn't been made yet.

I've read through almost all of his paperwork so far and have been reading forum threads here in order to be realistic about what to expect, but I am still curious to hear what people here can suggest for me at this point. What things should I know that I may not know?

If anyone has advice on whether or not I should include a scalp advance, i would appreciate it. I do have some recession at my temples, but the middle of my hairline is in an okay place. I'm currently planning on getting hair transplants to fill in the corners, instead of getting a scalp advance.

Here are some pictures of how I look now:

Thanks!

I would say leave your hairline well alone as your hairline looks natural as it is. Hairline lowering can cause hair loss necessitating hair grafting afterwards. They say all females have lower hairlines than men? Like errr there are plenty of beautiful female models out there who have very high hairlines and they look every bit a beautiful woman. Your hairline is not high at all. Some people head in to surgeries they don't really need. My advice would be to concentrate on what you feel are the important points and don't create what could be potential problems. I would just stick to your game plan and leave it at that and save yourself some money.

I really think you should get a lip  lift.  I read your previous thread where you said he recommended it but you decided against it, but I think you should get one.  You have a pretty far philtrum distance.  Disclaimer: I haven't had any surgery yet this is just my opinion.

Your hairline doesn't look too high to me personally.

Your hairline looks fine. Maybe a slight advancement in the corners. Nose and forehead are needed but you may also think about a chin implant to improve your profile. You can get it done after this under local anesthesia if needed because we don't know what will your profile look like after the forehead and nose are done. I wish you a successful surgery.
