Title: Cost of hormones from walmart?
Post by: taylorhbic on July 13, 2015, 12:11:51 PM
Ok I think I asked this but I need validation lol. My therapist gave me the ok so now I have an appointment to be prescribed hormones. I know for sure I'm gonna be going to walmart for my hormones I'm just worried that I won't be able to buy generic unless I'm specifically prescribed it.

The price is different for the dose.  You can look the prices up on the website. Right now I pay about $24 for spiro and $4 for estradiol(they're both the generic).  And congrats about getting the go ahead.  You can ask the dr to check generic on the script. Most do that anyway.

Lol thank you. I'm so excited. I think I'm just being last minute paranoid. I really don't wanna pay a whole lot for hormones and I'm worried I won't be allowed to get generic xD

Sometimes drugstores have plans and cards that drop the cost. It's worth checking out. I currently pay about $30 total for a three month supply of both.

I get all of mine from Walmart. Spiro, E, and Finasteride are all about $12 dollars each for a one month supply.
