So, my understanding is that, after a certain amount of time, HRT will render a male sterile.
At this point, I'm still uncertain if I ever want children anyway, but knowing myself.. my opinion is certainly subject to change on that. I don't know if I would like being unable to procreate. and, adoption isn't really my thing either. I think one day I would like to have a child with the right woman, and this is causing me to delay/reconsider HRT as an option for me.
I know of cryogenically freezing sperm, but I don't know of the success rates using that sperm to inseminate an egg. Does anyone know if that's a pretty concrete process of insemination?
I know that getting pregnant isn't all up to the potency of the male's sperm, and that a female's ability to procreate is equally as daunting and potentially difficult. Certainly this would be a case-by-case basis... but I don't know.
this is one of the few things remaining that provide me with doubt if HRT is something I should do.
what are your thoughts about it?
So far as I understand, HRT cannot actually render a person sterile. It can, however, reduce their fertility or desire for sex. Either way, many women throughout the world have difficulty getting pregnant (fertility, sexual preference, etc.), and there are several alternatives available.
Hope that helps!
