Like the thread title says, I have frequent dreams where I am the male version of myself, aka the true me. Iv'e actually been having these dreams long before I knew I was Ftm. Do any other pre op folks have dreams like this? Or did any of you have dreams like this before or while you were transitioning? I think it's really strange and fascinating how the subconscious works.
Yeah. I'm almost 20 now and I've been having those kinds of dreams since I was in middle school. I agree that it is fascinating.

I've had a few where I was female. When I was little it kind of freaked me out. More recently it just makes me happy. :D
I started having them when I was 19 and I'm 24 now so this has been going on for awhile. They make me really happy too but when I have dreams that I'm a female I always wake up confused and upset. :/
It's actually common to dream as the opposite gender. Ask couple of friends and they'll surely give interesting answers. You're not the only one that's done it! XD Just because you do this doesn't mean you're transgender but if have a feeling of bliss/peacefulness etc. Then you should spread your horizons with your gender. Little tip, watch a scifi movie while you sleep and you'll most likely have a dream in space! I did it with Starship Troopers as a kid and it was a lucid dream...oooh JESUS! Running from that alien all night long XD
Yeah, I get what you're saying Faithful Lauren but these dreams happen randomly. Completely unrelated to what I was watching or doing during the day. Anyway, it was just something interesting I wanted to share about myself that might be related to my gender identity.
