Siri Shuts Down Anyone Who Tries To Call Caitlyn Jenner By Her Old Name
You have to love Siri sometimes. Besides asking Siri to divide 0 by 0, if you use Jenner's old name siri will correct you.

I saw this. It's actually Wolfram Alpha, not Apple that shuts down the misgendering and dead naming.
Can we get that app for real life?!?
Are we sure it isn't just that it figures out the most current name of anybody, trans or cis, and uses that? If we asked about Cassius Clay, would it give us stats on Mohammed Ali? And I'd have to imagine it can give the gender of just about anyone you asked about, cis and trans alike, so I'm not sure I can get all celebratory about this.
Siri is awesome, and she works for cheap; I definitely recommend her. :)
I personally think it is awesome. It would be nice if they could do this for others.
I'm not sure I like this in the larger context. Having corporations enforce social standards seems like asking for trouble to me. It's a powerful tool and could easily turn against people and do enormous harm.
