The former Florida Governor just became the most pro-LGBT Republican presidential candidate.

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush announced his support for state-level LGBT nondiscrimination laws on Thursday. He also suggested that he opposed "religious freedom" laws meant to allow discrimination against LGBT customers.

********************************************
Even though he hasn't mentioned  national ENDA legislation and says it should be state by state. The statements in the article are by far the most pro-LGB (as he didn't mention the T) of any Republican candidate - supporting same-sex marriage, yet trying tp couch his support for "religious freedom" exclusions, and saying "I don't think you should be discriminated [against] because of your sexual orientation. Period. Over and out" regarding employment discrimination.

Could make for an interesting time leading up to the Primaries.

How do you know a politician is lying?

Their lips are moving.

But what if they're a transgender politician? Do they have to speak as though it were Opposite Day?

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.  It's not the worst thing a Presidential candidate has said in recent memory.

So to translate "I don't think you should be discriminated [against] because of your sexual orientation. Period. Over and out," and "I think this should be done state-by-state. I totally agree with that." - politician Jeb Bush

Means:

It is not nice to treat LGB people poorly, [insert random Bush phrase] - this should not be something that the president deals with, it should be up to each state.

Please note he does not plan to do anything about LGBT rights, nor does he mention the trans community. It's a typical political dodge where he infers he supports something but in actuality gives an opinion on discriminating and defers responsibility to an unrelated third party.

If he supported the LGBT community he would have used the words "I" and "support". But he didn't. It's pretty clear that he does not care and also that he doesn't plan to do anything at the federal level.

Well done Kova V.  I believe you've hit the nail on the head and it's a shame it couldn't have been on Jeb's own head.  He won't do a thing for us or the GLB community.  I can't say that I'm at all surprised.
