Title: Greenlit for HRT! ...but now what?
Post by: BenKenobi on July 22, 2015, 09:06:48 AM
I'm super excited. I went to my therapist on Monday and she gave me a few names of people in Florida that she knew and trusted.

It's so weird to me. Most of my life I've been told "no" or "you can't" or something along those lines. So when someone says "yeah sure. Here you go" I'm at a loss really.

Now what can i expect? I know bloodwork. How long does that take? Would they give me the equipment or do i need to purchase it elsewhere? I never thought I'd get this far!

Congratulations.

Where I go I got hormones with a recent, at the time, insurance blood test and they took my blood there at the 3 month check-up. They own a pharmacy next door and I purchased the supplies there and returned promptly for injection training.

I am so happy for you.

I had a different experience. My doctor wrote my prescription same day for a low dose, because I was on blood pressure meds. There was a walgreens in the building that specialized in injections. I was given needles and syringes for my entire bottle, and alcohol pads. and each time I refill I get it all without paying. only have to pay for the T itself which was $30.00 for a 10ml bottle
