Title: What kind of panties should I buy preop
Post by: Kassie on July 23, 2015, 08:56:57 PM
I am preop what are brands of underwear you have had good luck with for talking? I have heard that using .2 pairs of underwear or one size smaller 4 the thong put the penis between butt cheeks  and another type of underwear over the thong?

I don't really tuck except when clothes need it. I just use Hanes cotton panties. They're cheap and we collect the box tops for education. I don't have all that much to tuck anyways.

Between the cheeks? Whoa. If I was a cis guy I would feel so inadequate about now!

I think I've shrunk quite a lot so I never worry about that, just regular panties for me. Before I was doing HRT all I needed was panty hose. I'd only worry if I was trying on a bikini at the beach, but I wont do that because my stomach needs downsizing .

;D

I'm finding boy shorts to be really comfy. I don't really worrying about tucking either mostly since it has gone down  from not getting used at all.

I just wear whichever I like, I have some Victoria's Secret that I like a lot.
It can be challenging when wearing a thong though.

If I wear tight dresses or skirts, tights keeps everything smooth. You can also just wear a pair of tights with the legs cut off for extra support.

If I'm feeling particularly self-conscious in a short dress I might wear a pair of hotpants underneath.

I chose to go with Hanes cotton panties as well. Very affordable price and like the feel.

Hey

I would suggest thebreastformstore.com. They sell some very good gaffs. You would have to learn to tuck properly to wear them and it initially takes some practise to put them on without hassle but it's worth it. They are a bit expensive but they last ages. I would get maybe 2-3 pairs initially to find your size and fav colour (although really the colour becomes obsolete as you have to wear a pair of panties over it anyway). Then try and get cotton panties on top. Unless you're exercising intensely and/or wearing leotards etc, you should only need the one pair on top. Otherwise move onto a second as well.

Gaffs are very important if you want to be tucking. Normal cotton panties (cotton is non-negotiable - you need at least some breathing down there) can't hold a tuck in place. Trust me, a half-undone tuck is incredibly painful, especially when sitting! While very occasionally a gaff can pinch, its worth it for the ability to hold everything there. You can even swim with one on

For anyone that's wondering: A gaff is a special kind of thong that is bigger and stronger at the front as well as more elastic than normal underwear designed just for tucking. If you're not into thongs, it kinda sucks cause there isn't anything else out on the market really but its a price worth paying if having a bulge really bothers you. You get used to it.

Oh and btw, gaffs are referred to as being for "men". Kinda stings but I guess the crossdressing community uses it more than us. I got past that once I actually had the gaffs and realised how effective they were.

Much love
xx

use a wide sports tape, don't tug on it, just hold it down and you'll never look back.

Did that everyday for 3 and a bit years, could wear running tights and no one knew a thing.

Thank you for the replies
I have heard to wear thong and underwear over and then I have also heard where thong to tuck the top of shaft  between the but cheeks with and pantiliners over the thong for Kroch sweat and then another pair of panties over that just to be sure so some of this seems to confirm

Currently pre HRT.

I am not huge but pretty average I imagine. I found most were not quite wide enough.

I tried and have come to like Warners No Pinch No Problems Hipsters. I used to like hi cut but these work well and are low enough that if you are trying to be stealthy, you might not see them if you are bent over.

Good luck.

With warmth,

Joanna

I really like the panties sold by Aerie they comfortable and the front part for most of there panties are wide enough that nothing escapes or falls out of place, they also always have a 7 for $27 deal going on.

Heres the link to there website     http://www.ae.com/aerie/
