Title: Insomnia caused by gid?
Post by: Kelly_1979 on July 26, 2015, 10:47:07 AM
Lately I've been having moderate insomnia episodes. Is it from my gid (possibly) and therefore depression? I really get distracted in my work because of my feelings and some people think it's due to a woman in my life heh (if only they knew). Every now and then when I'm lying on the bed tears come to my eyes (or almost- which is even worse). Strangely though my dreams are usually fine and irrelevant to my depression.
Is this common among you?

I've had insomnia and night terrors since I was a child. Once I transitioned it got better but I've had it for so long that it's not completely gone so I occasionally go through my bouts with it. Depression didn't begin until puberty started but my dreams weren't any worst. If anything my vivid dreaming helped me cope because I escape into them whenever I'm going through depression, even if they're nightmares.

I've had terrible difficulty getting to sleep due to depression for years, and the work problems and crying in bed when it got really bad. I didn't really appreciate how bad my depression was until those last two problem appeared and started getting worse. Much worse. It was easy to ignore until then, and you get used to feeling bad, but that's when I realized what was happening and started getting quite scared where it was all going.

There's plenty of sites that tell you the symptoms pf depression, have a lot because you may well have more of them.

I think you need to look into this seriously and do something about it.
