Each day it gets better, two years ago I wanted to never wake up again. I've lived a life like so many others in so much pain because I was born wrong. I knew so early on I was wrong and I suffered for it even though I couldn't understand why I always viewed death as freedom. I'm so glad I found my life. It is the life I should of had from day one but, it happens and I'm just so grateful I'm here now. I've seen myself in dresses and relationships for so long , but always was in fear of being wrong. Now with the estrogen flowing non-stop through all my organs I cry everyday not for the pain I've lived , but for the incredible joy I feel of finally being able to freely express who I am. I'd like to say thanks to Susan's and all the people I've met here in my journey. You have pulled me out of an abysmal darkness which I will cherish for the rest of my journey.
Just by seeing your avatar change over these months I could see that you are feeling better and better about yourself. I think you are positively glowing now. You are one of the people here whose transition can inspire others and shows that it is never too late to really start to live your life. Thank you for sticking around!

Yes, normal, routine, ordinary and waking up every day feeling like I am living the dream. I have never felt better in my life. There is still a tremendous amount of injustice and work to be done so that more of us can be free to be ourselves and so that a real, lived equality is also normal.
Still it is important to acknowledge milestones and our gratitude for assistance along the way. Good for you Stephanie and, yes, thank you all for sharing this magical ride.

Yea, quite a difference from 21 months ago, I'm able to smile now plus my clothes are prettier.
With the E, dressing how I need to, removing body hair, and my voice change I just feel normal now.
A couple years ago I could not stop thinking about gender.
Today I just rock it.
You'll see by my tickers that I've been on HRT for almost exactly the same amount of time that you have. "Normal" is exactly the way I feel now and all I ever really wanted. I actually feel better than normal, as my mother would attest to since she keeps poking fun at me for frequently singing to myself or doing random little dances for no particular reason around the house!
Feeling normal changes everything. Everyone calls me "brave" for what I've accomplished, but while it did take some bravery at first, somewhere along the way I simply shed most of my fear and discomfort. I laugh to myself occasionally at how easy being full-time has proven to be for me emotionally.
