"Caitlyn Jenner's dedication to transgender issues in "I Am Cait" won over Patricia Harrington.
I'm really surprised at how good the "I Am Cait" premiere was.
I expected more of a trashy reality show, and I don't usually watch stuff like that. I didn't expect it to be so sensitive. It was some really powerful stuff.
It's great to see that Caitlyn realizes she has a huge platform, and she really seems to be using it well. As a 62-year-old transgender woman myself, I was especially moved at the end of the episode where they brought up the important issue about trans people being more likely to commit suicide that any other community. It happens a lot, and and it doesn't have to."

I watched the show; I thought it was well done, and I will continue to watch it.

I watched the first episode and it seems well done, and if things continue in this tone it could be a real asset for the trans community. Just as Caitlin herself may be a major gift to getting attention to those who really need it.

That said I realized as I watched it that documentary style shows have a great deal of trouble holding my attention so I am unlikely to watch every episode.
