I had a boring morning this morning, so I decided to sing a Katy Perry song - Dark Horse (my converter from my cell phone to the video cut the video to 1/3), but it gives the jist of my voice.
Tell me how passable it is.
My voice starts at 25 seconds in.
Thank you.

For a speaking voice, the pitch was well above where it should be. As for a singing voice, I am not an expert but to me it sound like you are singing above the range that you should be singing in. If Katy Perry sings in that range, she is well above where most women would sing. A feminine voice isn't all about pitch. Listen to Karen Carpenter's Only Yesterday and you will see that a really interesting singing voice can be in a much lower range.
You need a voice clip, not a singing clip... no one can legitimately make an honest judgment call of voice passability based on that example.
Singing skill is an entirely different question :o
Yes, talk and read something. Examples over in the voice forum. :)
