"Caitlyn Jenner has not had a good week. After the 65-year-old reality star's highly-anticipated docuseries I Am Cait lost half of its audience in its second week, Jenner was bombarded by hateful comments from outspoken members of the transgender community and a well-connected source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, "She is devastated."
I'm not really surprised. I think Caitlyn is amazing and I'm fascinated by her story and love how she has become something of an activist. But I couldn't make it through her first episode. It just wasn't compelling TV. As in any profession, being a reality star takes a lot of skill - showing what people love to watch. I don't know what that is, but I don't think she found it in that first episode.
I was excited about Caitlyn being a new advocate, but honestly I think it'd be safer for her and the community if she did it in a less "in your face" way. A lot of Cis people just seem feed up with her and by being out there too much might do more harm then good. I liked it more when she did some interviews and her article stuff like that seemed better, or just being in episodes of her families shows occasionally.
I really agree with you KittyKat. The first two episodes have been a major disappointment for me at least. I agree that she needs to be less in your face about it. On my Facebook it seems like not a day goes by without some update about what she is doing. I think she really jumped into everything way to quick and its showing, especially with her current views.
