Title: does my singing voice pass??
Post by: gaygirl420 on August 07, 2015, 07:03:11 PM
hi there !! so im not looking to promote anything here nor am i looking for musical critique, my band is kind of loud and its not gonna be everyone's thing. thats okay! i dont care if yall hate my music or my singing, BUT, i want people's opinions on if my voice passes when i sing. any opinions related to passability of my singing voice would be really appreciated!!!

i was told by a mod that i cant link to my band's page, only a single song. i hope this works for yall, if it doesnt please let me know what i can do to make it follow the rules of the site.

I think you pass quite well. Your voice has a similarity to Alanis Morisette.

The voice itself passes.

I play drums (not in a band any more though), used to play some guitar and used to sing before HRT, but now (six years into HRT already) I try to sing like a girl and I just can't do it well.

Your voice, both speaking and singing is something I look forward to achieving one day, once I can handle my middle register and my passaggio.

What I mean is that IMO your speaking voice sounds completely fem and your singing voice is the same as good. As far as looks, IMO you look more fem with your hair tied up than loose, because the former flatters your face shape and the latter doesn't do it so much, IMHO. Maybe recording yourself in a video with different hairstyles and asking your fans for opinions (same for the glasses) you could get some opinions as to what makes you look more feminine /what combination of hairstyle and glasses I mean). You could actually have some fun trying out different hairstyles and glasses! Your body looks very passable too IMO although we only get to see a side view all the time, a frontal view could maybe tell more about how fem you may look next to your band mates.

Cheers

Bibi B.

wow thanks for the lengthy feedback!! im growing my hair out right now and experimenting with different hair styles, when it gets longer itll be a lot easier to get a good framing imo. im hopefully getting FFS next year so that mighy not be a problem anymore though. thanks for the feedback on the voice!!
