Interesting. I will say that I have wanted to kill myself, though I have never physically acted on it.
I am 23 now, and have made lots of progress with transition as far as legal and the physical aspect. I have needed to learn to be my own best friend as my way of adapting.
Yes, I definitely isolated myself, and still have issues as far as family and just plain having no connection whatsoever with them.
The small part you mentioned on the "late bloomer" aspect definitely struck a cord with me.
I am basically going through my teen phase now even though I am chronologically 23.
