Title: How to start HRT
Post by: IhazAcc0unt on August 22, 2015, 12:58:25 AM
Hello Wonderful People!  :)

I am currently a 16 year old male and have decided after many years of thinking that I want to start HRT. The only problem is I don't have much of an idea on where to start. I was thinking that I should ask my doctor the next time I go visit him or something. I live in the US. So I really need help on how and where to start; the frist step to transitioning. Thank you!

Hi - yes, definitely talk to your doctor. Maybe also with a gender therapist. It may be, depending on your local rules your doctor may be able to start you on a form of HRT (or recommend you to someone who can), however since you are under 18 it is possible they may not be able to.

I agree with Grace, speak with your doctor and seek out a gender therapist.
