The ad for the costume was totally tasteless. I might have considered it because I loved Caitlyn's outfit on the Vanity Fair cover and even though I don't have her body yet, it might have been fun. But given the way is was advertised talking about all the laughs it would generate is just demeaning and disgusting.

I did say some place ells, that the outfit is just that, an outfit. But the way the outfit is marketed is the sorce of the descrimination :)

"you will get luaghs" aka, trans poeple are somthing to luagh at, its this notion that is discrimination.

Ugh, yeah, that "get lots of laughs" part is hideous. I wonder how many male identified people wear this sort of costume every year and play it off as a joke to protect themselves (while actually wishing for more). I've always thought that maybe three quarters or more of the trans population is still in hiding.... Those Halloween companies should be ashamed, for lots of reasons, but also for making money off of people who would voluntarily make fun of a sensitive and repressed part of themselves. Fortunately, clueless PR reps are on the decline....
