Hey!

I'm Orchid- at least on here I am. I'm not sure if I'm interested in having that as my real name, but it's kind of pretty to look at. That was my mindset...

Ahem. Anywho, I'm US-born and heading onto college soon, 21, and finally just... happy. Things in life make sense (more so now than ever before), and I'm ready to pursue hrt, which is finally happening. I'm so excited, and scared, perpetually stunned, but I somehow feel ready to make the next step. I'm trying to map out some of the little road blocks but, I've found a great therapist to make me feel like anything is possible.

On a humble note, I wanted to thank everyone at Susan's since the time I joined last year, and well before that. I grappled with the word transgender and, because of the site, I was able to accept reality and appreciate it.

Hello Orchid and welcome to Susan's. Congratulations on beginning HRT. Self acceptance is so important because it frees you from what everyone says that you should be. Coming out as transgender liberated and completed me.
