Hi everyone,
I just wanted to open a topic and share my experience of my upcoming surgery. I have my surgery scheduled for the 2nd of September. I have scheduled to have the following:
Forehead reconstruction with setback of the anterior wall of the frontal sinus and orbital rims reshaping
Hair line brought forward
brow lift
upper lip feminization
Rhinoplasty feminization
jaw line and chin tapering - to give a more slender V shape. - sliding genioplasty (chin brought forward)
Under chin liposuction
fat transfer from abdomen and waist to hips
I decided i would choose T change for a few reasons; One being that i used to live in buenos aires, so it is a city i'm firmiliar with and not worried about recovering in. My biggest reason in choosing them is because out of all the research i've done on Dr rossi and the photos i've seen have all been really positive and i like the fact his patients look natural and don't have that: "under the knife look" and just look like a more feminine version of themselves. Amanda (the lady who i believe runs T change) made the decision alot easier also, as she answered all of my questions in alot of detail and has been really patient with me.
I will post "before" photos once i arrive to buenos aires to give you an idea of what T change are dealing with ;D
Congratulations and best wishes :)
When are you scheduled to arrive in BA?
Congratulations, I wish you a successful surgery :)
Hi ladies,
I arrived last night at 10pm. Omgosh flying from australia to buenos aires is no easy task I can assure you haha. I had forgotten how much of a mission it is going from australia to new Zealand then to santiago, chile and then finally to buenos aires!
Once I came through security and bag x ray I saw a lady holding my name, I recognized her straight away, it was amanda. She is sooooo down to earth and lovely. I know I've seen most people post this about her, but I was still unsure what to expect until I met her myself. She picked me and my friend up and got us back to the hotel. I told her that she didn't need to wait for my flight because I felt bad that it was so late. But she didn't mind. She gives off a genuine warmth and always has the time to chat to me or help me make my stay more comfortable.
Because I used to live here, the experience is a little different coming here for surgery. I've met with my closest friends from here already and they all have so many questions. And I feel very self conscious, not so much around my friends, but just out and about as I've had to gain alot of weight so I could do the fat transfer. It makes me hate my body and face even more, I have a huge double chin like a catipiller.
Here are some before photos I took:

Taking these photos and sharing them was much harder than anticipated, as I've been avoiding looking in the mirrors or taking photos of myself with this weight on. But I still wanted to share my experience to try and help other girls and the photos really do help.
So in the next 3 days I have my 3 appointments:
Tomorrow I'm meeting with amanda and going to T change for blood tests. I have to fast in the morning so they must be checking glucose levels
On Tuesday I have a face to face consultation with dr javier rossi (Yay can't wait!) for him to discuss in person my surgery and what they will focus on.
Then Wednesday is the BIG DAY, will be going into surgery :)
Hope this helps. I will keep you all updated and thank you for your support.
xxxx

I too have a little extra fat now, to help with fat transfer. You will be well into recovery by the time I get there in 2 weeks.
Wish you the best with surgery.
Hi Chloe,
You must be so excited for tomorrow :) Amanda and Dr. Rossi will make sure you do just fine. It'll be tough as I'm sure you've gathered from the many girls on this board. Also, it may take some time before the swelling comes down and you start looking like your new self. This you know as well. I had the lipo fat transfer, same as you'll be getting, although from a different surgeon (although I'll likely do breast aug with Dr. Rossi on my next vacation to Buenos Aires). You'll be the first on this board to give your experiences with the fat transfer :)
I'm also excited for Deeiche as well, who is a very kind, sweet person. I'll be thinking of the both of you, wishing for the best!

Thanks heaps ruby.
Yes I met up with dr rossi for the first time today. I was nervous because with my previous surgeries I'm usually rushed and doctors don't have alot of time for my questions. However dr rossi was sooo lovely. During the consult he touched my face to feel my bone structure and went through in depth what he'd be doing on each part of my face as I look in the mirror. Its almost 1 am here and I have surgery in the morning at 11am. But I keep falling asleep early and then waking up at midnight (must be jet lag).
There will be wifi in the hospital, so if I'm feeling upto it I will update there also once I wake up from the surgery.

Hi everyone, just giving a quick update.
Surgery went well. It all went along as planned on Wednesday the 2nd. I haven't had much to update here as my face is just really puffed up and swallon. I need to wait a while longer for the swelling to go down. Each day it has been getting bigger. Which I was advised would happen before it finally goes down.
The hospital was nice and I'm really glad amanda organizes a translator. Because they were able to help me when I was in pain in order to get stronger pain killers.
I actually went into shock when I first came out of surgery. I believe it was because I couldn't breath through my nose after having my rhinoplasty (because of the stuffing required to stop bleeding)
Anyway will keep you gurls updated. Will take another photo when some of the swelling has gone down
Glad to hear surgery went well.
Take care.
I went out today as my first major outing since the surgery. It was actually quite nice (well aside from inviting my friend from australia out with me, as he was very negative).
The first day I could leave my apartment was yesterday. So I just met a friend and had ice cream. But today I decided to re visit the Recoleta cemetery as I used to live across from it and it's one of my favourite places. I wasn't going to take a photo of myself, but as I turned my phone camera on it was facing me and I quite liked what I saw even though it was on my least favorite angle haha. So I thought I'd share the photo with you gals. I still have major swelling under my thought from the lipo and also around my jaw.

Hope you are doing well.
I'll be arriving @ BA airport on Monday morning, after 20 hours or so of flights and layovers.
Best wishes!
Ok, so it's been a few weeks since my surgery. So thought I'd do an update. I forgot to mention that dr rossi decided to bring my hair line forward at my widows peaks through doing an incision within my hairline (sorry I'm not the best at explaining this stuff). I still have a lot of swelling, especially under my neck and my nose. Under my neck is scar tissue which I have to lightly massage until it disappears. I know it's not the final result just yet. But I'm very pleased so far.

Looking good!!
Hey, I guess I just missed you. Amanda said someone from Australia had left the day I arrived.
You are looking good, appears the bruising is almost completely gone.
How's it going, Bamar?
Hi gurls, I'm doing well. I'm so sorry I hadn't responded earlier. I wasn't sure if anyone was interested in my progress anymore. But I'm glad you girls are!
I'm back at work doing the daily grind! I think my progress is more psychological now rather than physical. Although everyone knows at work I'm trans. I still go in, in boy mode and wear a male uniform. I work in a call centre, so until I have the confidence to take calls as chloe, I am stuck.
Physically everything is going well. The only thing I am a bit inpatient with is the scar tissue I still have under my neck and on my right side of my jaw. It has shrunk, but I just wish it was totally disappear already.
My fat transfer has healed I believe. It is a very subtle change, that I think only I can notice.
Now I've got to save to pay some debt and then I will plan my next surgery (BA and hair transplants). I'm thinking of either going back to dr rossi for my BA, or going to chettawut, as thailand is much easier to get to from australia and previously I had my butt implants done with him.
Hi Bamar, thanks for the update; I'm glad you are doing well. I'm interested in your butt implant experience with Dr. Chettawut; how did they turn out, and did you have any problems during recovery, such as infection? Thanks.
Glad to hear that you're doing well! I can recommend an amazing cosmetic surgery in Chicago for a BA if you're interested. :) And his prices are good. 7k last I knew.
