Congrats CJ

I had my 2nd stage 4th July. What is it you're having done? I had hysterectomy, oopherectomy, vaginectomy and something else to do with removal of bits (but can't remember name) and I also had glans sculpting and urethral hook up!

Thanks guys. Jonjon, I'm having exactly the same and the burial. How did yours go? Are you happy with the results?

The op and recovery went very well. The things I struggled with was removal of the drain, annoyance at the subrapubic cath and pooping lol

If you don't live close to London, my advice about the drain is either A, make sure you get someone who knows an awful lot and has loads of experience with redi-vac drains specifically to remove it or B, get yourself back to London to St Peters to remove it. The same with removing the catch, make sure that's def done at St Peters. I had no one up my end who was willing to remove it when I had issues getting to London.

If you struggle with pooping drink lots and lots of water and take plenty of laxatives lol it made me moody and feel like crap when I got all bunged up lol

And don't worry if you get any fistulas. I did and its taken about a month for them to heal up (I'm still cautious they might re-open) but I found standing to pee seems to help them heal better. When I sat to pee for some reason it seemed like they'd open up again (very weird). But I am just starting to get comfortable with peeing without holding toilet tissue between my legs lmao!!

I wish you all the best!! Take care of yourself and I'm sure you'll be fine :D don't overdo anything!

That's good to hear! I live quite far away from London so I shall go back down to have everything removed. For my first stage, I had to have an enema...I know it is going to happen again  :(

Thanks for the tips. How does it compare to the first stage? I like to go running, swimming and weight lifting. How long until you felt comfortable to do any of those activities again?

I'm not particularly an active person lol so sorry I can't help too much with that. Though the surgeon did advise 3 months before lifting anything over 10kg. A few bits have 'chaffed' when I've been walking which has only just eased off to the point of I can walk swiftly without any irritation. On Tuesday I was out in the countryside and managed a brief jog to catch up to my partner with no issues at all.

Everyone heals at a different rate though. My only best advice for this is to listen to your body. If anything feels too much, stop and try again maybe in a weeks time. I want to start doing some sit ups soon, I feel ready but would rather give it another week or two just to be sure! But that's me, I'm extra careful about stuff like that lol

Have had such a rough time. I had internal bleeding dying surgery and needed a transfusion...then the fever kicked in! I have had a bit of bleeding and the catheter has not been draining properly so have had to had that flushed twice. There is something up with it and I have blood through the catheter. I have an appointment with Mr Christopher tomorrow so we will see! Urine has passed through the penis which should not have happened yet

Yeah man, I had a last minute appointment in Slough after 11 days and they checked it all, realised everything had healed so took the catheter out and took off all of the dressings! I have had no more problems and it is absolutely fantastic to be able to use the urinal!!!  ;D  ;D  ;D Definitely worth it!

How are you doing?

I know what you mean mate! Very happy with everything. The stream is flowing slightly to the left but I'm sure that will fix in time.

How are you feeling?

To anyone reading this who is considering going through the same: don't be put off by my problems, I would go through it all again for these results!

Thank you both for your very informative information about your post op phallo surgery. Im looking forward to mine with Dr. Crane in San Francisco in October 2016.. I wanted to ask you guys about the hair removal for the forearm donor sight. Did your insurance cover it?

No worries mate! Here to help! Sorry, I can't help you with that. I didn't have hair removal outside of surgery and I live in the UK so under the NHS. Any other questions and I'm happy to help :)
