The Advocate/BY Sunnivie Brydum August 30 2015 4:29 PM ET

"The Kentucky county clerk who just asked the Supreme Court for a special exemption so she wouldn't have to sign the marriage licenses of same-sex couples, nonetheless signed off on the marriage of a trans man and pansexual woman in February, report several media outlets in Morehead, Ky."

It is a "traditional marriage" between a man and a woman. Granted the trans part seems to confuse a lot of clerks. I've heard of a couple before SCOTUS getting denied because they were a same sex couple even though one was legally a man and the other was a woman. They were both women but the "man" hadn't made it legal yet. The clerk said you can't do that. You're using a technicality to get past it.

I think much ado about nothing is being made about this couple. She's a female, he is a male. End of story. I would be appalled if someone views me in the context of my past, as if that is still part of my identity (it isn't).

Focus on putting Mrs Davis in jail or fining her something like $50,000 per day or something. They can do that. With financial pressure and jail time she will crack.
