I bumped up from super low dose to half dose T about 10 weeks ago. Since then, I think my hair is starting to fall out on top. I've never seen my scalp before and now, when my hair is wet, there it is. I've always had lots of thick coarse hair .
I've done some major lifestyle changes in the last few months.
So, does T work that fast on the hair, or can I put this down to stress with hopes that the hair will come back when the stress goes?
Sometimes men go bald in their early 20's and if you have baldness in your family you may have the gene. If hair is important to you, you should see the doctor about medication to treat baldness because treated early, the hair will return. If left untreated, it will become permanent.
Take a look at the men on your mom's side. That'll be the determining factor for what your hair is like.
Apparently, my maternal grandfather died at 96 with a head full of thick white hair. Thick enough, it often caused comments.
Hi Chris! I've already started thinning on one temple. I put my pomade in in the morning and a bunch of hair comes out. It's a drag, but collateral damage, I guess!
PS: Good to see you!

Good to see you, too! Hope you are doing well. I'm seeing a lot of hair after my shower. :( I"m thinking you're right, that's just the way it is. Still, I would like to loose the top before I loose the hair! It will be a tight race!
Do see a doc about preventing baldness if it bothers you. I know a lot of guys--cis and trans--who have had success with these treatments! But don't wait too long. The earlier the better for baldness prevention. :)
If your mother's Father was thinning you may do too.
My hair was falling out for 20 years. I used to just shave it all off.
HRT saved the day ! just ;) Long hair does take some time to get used to though :-\
It's a cool look for a man. Vin Diesel !

I asked my doc. She said she could prescribe finestride (sp?), but it would stop a lot of the masculinizing affects of T that I am really wanting/needing right now.

Thanks, Paula! Vin Diesel has an awesome look!
Along with minoxidil, which my Dr. recommended, I'm trying a shampoo called Regenepure which is supposed to help negate DHT effect. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but between the two, maybe they are working a bit? I'm seeing/imagining a few new hairs.
