Title: Bottom dysphoria (rear area)
Post by: November Fox on September 05, 2015, 09:19:58 AM
I've got some major dysphoria not concerning the front but actually the back. The dysphoria I had in the front I've managed to ease with a packer/stp.

I know that a lot of people wouldn't want to flatten their derriere and that's why I can't find a solution online, I think. Compression underwear apparently has "lift" devices build in that make it even more round-shaped and that's the opposite of what I want: a male ass.

T would probably do some re-distribution, so I guess that will help, but I won't be on T for a while and I'm looking for ways to ease the dysphoria... any suggestions are appreciated :)

Drop bodyfat to a lower percentage, don't count on testosterone to redistribute the fat away from the areas you specifically want, you'll probably just end up being disappointed. It's the surest way to make your butt smaller.

Thx Aerozeppelin,

yeah you're right I shouldn't be counting on the T to redistribute it.
I'm a bit worried about dropping too much body fat percentage - in fact I don't think I can do that - I'm the slim type who doesn't really have much of it. It's mostly concentrated in my moobs and down there...

It's funny how I look quite male overall but then there's that area and it's the most feminine most people had ever seen (as I have been told frequently) ...  >:(

In the end I'm resorting to some tight fabric to keep it in place and stop it from moving so much, just like a binder... it helps a little bit.

I've always been very conscious about my 'round feminine ass' as big asses are a trait that runs in the women's side of my family. So I don't know if this will help you in any way, but I have found quite a majority of males do have pronounced asses. I take comfort in believing they are also conscious about their fat ass too!

If you're gay, I have noticed that many gay men are attracted to other guys with nice round feminine asses ;)

Hey JonJon,

Yeah I like men, them liking me for my feminine ass does cause a slight discomfort in me, but maybe not when I appear more masculine overall  (while on T)  ;D

It's good to know that there's men with the same problem though... thanks!

It only really bugs me when I run and it bounces. I don't know what exactly would fix the bounce besides more running.

Mine shakes sometimes when I walk  :-\ It's the same deal as with the moobs... but down under...

In the end I did make my own STP by being crafty and being really patient, so I guess that's what I'm going to do to try and fix this... better than walking around all anxious and aware.

Wouldn't be any good to wear while running though. Not good for circulation.

Compression shorts for sport wouldn't work? They may add lift but they may also make things more taught. I'd look around and see what is available locally. You may get lucky.

I have quite the sizable rear as well and it has always bugged me. I have collected fat mostly in my rear and lower belly. Not my thighs/hips funny enough. Recently I don't feel like my butt is as big of a problem. I've dropped a few more pounds at the gym and that seems to help.

I just wanna start off saying, I've seen plenty of guys with big rumps, and I've even seen some guys with butts bigger than even most curvy women. It happens. I worked with a guy once who had a huge butt, and he was taller, so it was much more in eyesight all the time. But he also wasn't the snazziest dresser, and I feel like maybe better clothing options would have aided him (khakis are NOT slimming).

Personally, I LOVE a nice ass on a guy. I'm actually a little upset that I've lost some plumpness from my ass since starting my natural transition, and I workout hard with my female friend on our "butt days" at the gym (500lbs on the leg press, holla!) But I also understand just wanting a more normal, male behind, because even smaller man asses can be beautiful.

I'm not sure what exactly you're working with. It's hard to tell from words if someone's actually got that big an area or if they're just overly dysphoric and viewing it as more of a problem than others do. But if you're that worried, definitely start working out and dieting. There are ways to try to target a certain area of your body for fat loss. They sell sauna suits, and if you don't mind doing some form of cardio at your house, you could try buying one and just wearing the pants while you workout. I haven't tried one yet (thought about getting one for the shirt to try to lose some boobs), but I'm sure they'll help you sweat away some fat like a mofo. I've also used Sweet Sweat with some success in the past. Results will be slow, but if you stick with it, it can work (I lost a lot of flabby arm fat over the course of a few months with Sweet Sweat).

Cardio will of course be your friend, as well as consistency. And if you're having trouble kicking off weight loss, try a short-term diet, and then slowly incorporate smarter eating choices in your daily diet. Right now, I'm trying to lose up top, and I've begun on a mostly vegetarian diet for the next week or two. If my sinuses and the weather weren't causing me so much pain currently, I'd be doing cardio 5+ times a week. It's tough to stick with something that shows results so slowly, but it's so rewarding when you notice it finally start to pay off. :)

And who knows, if you really do have a lot of fat to lose from those areas, and if your current diet isn't all that healthy, you might even notice results pretty quickly just from making a few changes!

Haha I wouldn't really describe it as huge. It's just really feminine - which is judging from what I have seen on guys. It's pretty round, I've got the bubble-butt type, and sort of protrudes from my body. I don't generally see things on my body in a distorted way so I think that's an accurate description. I'm lucky to have a small chest.

I made some sort of compression thing, with a ton of patience, which sort of works. I strap it around the butt and that flattens it to some degree. Gotta say I'm wary of losing weight, don't want to do that - I have a history of being too light weight. I actually drink weight gain smoothies and already eat a very balanced diet because I want to stay healthy, but I'll try some workouts to see if it helps tighten things up down there...  8)

If it's just feminine and not necessarily huge, you might just be over worrying about it. A bubble butt looks good on anyone, man or woman. :) For me, I get more dysphoric about my chicken legs that hold up my butt, rather than my butt itself. I know once I get muscular, shapely man legs, my butt will look like a man's no matter what shape it has. :D

I personally have a big butt, but that's because my body shape is a combo hourglass/pear, and all of my chub resides in my hips, thighs, and butt, so I get where you're coming from completely.  When I'm presenting male, I hate having a feminine figure, since, above everything else, that's what gives me away.  I usually combat this by wearing longer shirts and pants with pockets in other places so I don't have to put my wallet in my back pocket and draw attention to the rear.

I ended up ordering "men's hip buster briefs" from underworks :) they are compression underwear that hold your buttocks in place and make your hips smaller... exactly what I want.

They have some reviews by transmen too and they sound very positive, since I'm across the pond it's probably going to be a while before they get there though. I'll review them for you guys when they get here!

I also do the long shirt thing, I tend to prefer cargo pants that have leg pockets to put my stuff in.
