Yoga would be a great stretching and strength exercise and you can also make it spiritual. Stretching takes time and practice almost  daily is important. Depending on yor diligence and present physical shape it can take a year to feel that you can stretch comfortably. You may also want to consider Pilates.

There is a lady I went to high school with.  (I graduated 35 years ago, just for reference).  Her husband is a yoga instructor.  Based on her facebook photos, she is capable of some amazing positions and moves.

So I would say yes, go with yoga.  You can accomplish some amazing things with yoga.  Plus, it will greatly improve your health.

Hi -

Exercise is always a good thing . . . I also recommend looking at Pilates.  It helped so much with my feminine movement, especially in my hips and upper torso.

I've been attending yoga classes for about 5 years now.

I can recommend you take it up as there are great health benefits. You'll certainly become more flexible.

You'll also meet a nice crowd of open minded women.
