So I have been on HRT for just a few days. My doctor said that my body is healthier than average, so they started with pretty nice doses of estrogen and testosterone blockers. I have been seeing results already (mainly, a lot less erections, and sore nipples).
However food wise, I have had an interesting experience:
I am getting hungry almost every 2-3 hours, and I feel like I need a whole meal. I would make some food (that I [used?] love), but after just a few bites, I feel full.
Now I don't know if this is how it is going to be now, a bit food every few hours, or I should rather force myself to eat full meals 3 times a day, even if I feel full after a few bites.
Also, I think I am starting to like different food, and mostly healthier food. I used to love fried food, but now I just want to eat fruit and vegetables the whole day.
I'd say go with the flow and with cravings (except chocolate in large amounts :) )
If you feel full I'd not overdo it...
and yes many people say their tastes have changed... some craved vegetables... and the sense of smell might change, too :)
hugs
I've noticed the fruits and vegetables thing. I also crave salt more (due to spironolactone, probably) and hot peppers. I recently found out that the peppers may be because they increase metabolism. Also, I can only tolerate two cups of coffee per day now. One in the morning, one in late afternoon. I used to guzzle the stuff.
